The work I create comes from tuning into the vibrations that buildings give off and interpreting them to share with others. I am drawn to the craftsmanship that has been put into older buildings, in an era when to build a building really meant something, a true labor of love. To see them around surviving is like a patch of spared Redwood trees left in a field where its brothers and sisters were mowed down. After taking lots of pictures and looking at them in the computer did I start to play with the color. I began to embellish them with bright hues giving the building a makeover, reminding it and us how wonderful it is. I also shoot architecture as a subject because I like how it bonds us as a community. The images are printed on canvas to give the viewer a more intimate connection with the piece.
